The Big Apple Story

Yesterday the paths were lit up like TIMES SQUARE Spring-clad CENTRAL PARK was there to shower its care I used to be so excited as if on the EMPIRE STATE’s top After Shopping with you on the FIFTH AVE non-stop My heart used to flutter like the flags at the UN HEADQUARTERS You don’t know what I could have given up just to enjoy with you a Brooklyn Bridge’s saunter...
	Today I feel claustrophobic when I think of the WALLed STREET days I wish I had chosen some other BROADer WAYs! Coz that’s where you YANK(E)Ed my heart without any BASE And yet so peacefully managed a HOME (to) RUN away On retrospection, I think whether having met you was a boon or a bane Coz now a mere sight of a BIG APPLE in my fruit basket is enough to reignite my pain...

Colourblind!

Felt blue...

When I realised that moments we got to spend together were so few!

Felt green...

When i heard you mentioning people I have not even seen!

Felt yellow...

When you didn’t have time for me and I felt like just another fellow!

But then, I make myself feel fine...

And I think about the day we two had gone out together to dine! J

Nobody had told me that this feeling is so great

Envy, love, hatred, restlessness.. all found in the same plate

Even though sometimes things are not meant to materialise

One learns to put up a brave face when inside the heart cries...

When you spent the last weekend with all of them and not me instead!

When I think about all the things that I feel I lack!

Felt jaded...

When responses from your side started to get faded!

But then, I make myself feel sublime...

And I think about your laugh, your voice on the phone and those eyes that shine! :) 

I cherish the fact that its You whom I so closely got to know

Now, the rest of the things I seriously don’t mind

And dont worry about me, I will control these random outflows

Even if that means i have to go colourblind.
